What this paper is about
How this paper will be taught
Required Readings
In this paper you will use electronic resources available through Moodle and the University Library at no cost to you.
Some material will be on Moodle, and some will be available through the Waikato Reading List.
Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete the course should be able to:
Assessments
How you will be assessed
The Moodle Lessons, Moodle Forums, and Quizzes collectively make up 40% of students' final grade for the course. A lot of the content learning and skill acquisition will occur while doing these activities. To encourage this learning, all of these activities are all assessed. But the assessment is relatively stress-free as long as students do the work. Each question in the Moodle Lessons is only worth a tiny amount and students are told what they need to know right before indicating they are ready for the question. In the Moodle Forums, students can continue posting until they have contributed enough to earn a good grade. For each Quiz there is a study guide that, if used, will mean students are completely prepared for all of the potential quiz questions before they start.
The two assignments collectively make up 60% of students' final grade for the course. The assignments give students the opportunity to demonstrate that they have achieved the real-world learning outcomes by doing and documenting an activity that they might be required to do in a real-world workplace.
The internal assessment/exam ratio (as stated in the University Calendar) is 100:0. There is no final exam.
